Contact Brazil Safe Travel

Brazil Safe Travel is a small, independent project. There is no support queue and no chatbot — email reaches a person, and that person answers. Below is what to expect depending on why you are writing.

Corrections to a guide

This is the message we most want to receive. If a statistic is stale, a source has been misread, a neighbourhood description no longer matches what is on the ground, or a link is dead, tell us which guide and what is wrong. Include the URL and, if you have it, the source that contradicts us. Corrections are made at the guide level and the review date is updated only when the underlying facts have actually been re-checked — never as a cosmetic refresh.

Email support@brazilsafetravel.com with Correction in the subject line.

App support

For questions about the Brazil Safe Travel iOS app — installation, subscription, restoring a purchase, or deleting your account and its data — use the same address. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, so refunds and cancellations are handled in your Apple account settings rather than by us; we can help you find the right screen but cannot issue a refund ourselves. Account deletion can be done from inside the app, or requested here and we will do it.

Press and research

If you are a journalist or researcher working on tourist safety in Brazil and want to know how a figure was sourced, ask. Every number in our guides traces to a named agency and year, and we will point you at the original dataset rather than restating our own summary. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored posts, or link insertions, so please do not write about those.

Where else to find us

Instagram and TikTok. For how the project is funded and how we source data, see About and sourcing policy.

What we cannot help with

We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in an incident in progress. In Brazil, dial 190 for police, 192 for an ambulance and 193 for the fire brigade — our guide to Brazil's emergency numbers explains what to say and how to file a boletim de ocorrência. We also cannot give legal, medical or immigration advice, and we do not book flights, hotels or tours.
